Mobile Master RemoteType (often referred to as the Remote Control module within the Mobile Master software suite) is a specialized tool that transforms supported mobile devices—traditionally Sony Ericsson and Nokia handsets—into a remote control for your PC.
It allows you to control media players like iTunes, Winamp, and PowerDVD directly from your phone via Bluetooth or cable. Complete Setup Guide
To set up the Mobile Master remote control functionality, follow these steps:
Install the Base Software: Download and install the Mobile Master software on your PC. Ensure you have a version that includes the “Remote Control” module (typically version 7.3 or later). Establish a Connection: Connect your phone to your PC.
Bluetooth (Recommended): Enable Bluetooth on both devices and pair them.
USB Cable: Plug your device in and ensure the Mobile Master software detects the phone.
Assign a Profile: The software should automatically detect your phone model and assign a profile. If it doesn’t, use the Setup Assistant within the program to manually select your device. Activate Remote Control:
Open the Remote Control module within the Mobile Master PC interface.
Once the link is established, Mobile Master will generate a remote control menu on your phone’s screen.
Configure Media Players: In the PC software settings, select which applications you want to control (e.g., iTunes or Winamp). Key Features
Media Navigation: Click through music titles and adjust volume levels from a distance.
Remote PC Control via SMS: Some versions allow you to send specific SMS commands to trigger PC actions.
Automatic Detection: The system identifies your hardware and configures the interface settings for you.
Note on Compatibility: This tool was primarily designed for classic mobile phones (GSM/UMTS handsets). Modern smartphones (iOS/Android) may have limited support compared to older Sony Ericsson and Nokia models. Mobile Master – Download
